Recreate the thrill of real air travel with our Land Away Flight Experience. Arrive at the airport, board your aircraft, and take off for a new destination - but this time, you’re the one flying the plane!
Your flight experience begins with a full pre-flight briefing from your instructor, covering the key elements of your lesson, including aircraft handling and weather considerations. With Land’s End and the Isles of Scilly as possible destinations, both options offer breathtaking views and the chance to truly discover Cornwall from the air.
After landing, you’ll have time to explore your destination (if pre-arranged) before taking off again for your return flight to Cornwall Airport Newquay. It’s a unique experience — especially when you realise you’ve piloted the aircraft there and back yourself.
Our Land Away Experiences are suitable for up to two people (combined weight limit: 25 stone, individual limit: 17 stone) and are ideal for those looking for a more advanced flying lesson. You can even share the experience by swapping seats for the return leg, giving both participants the chance to take the controls - a perfect option for friends or family who both want to fly!
Both our Land’s End and Isles of Scilly Land Away Flights can be purchased as gift experiences, complete with a personalised voucher for the recipient. All vouchers are valid for 12 months and can be booked at a convenient time for the voucher holder (subject to availability).
Please note: Flights are not available on Sundays and are limited on Saturdays during winter months.
